CSTS IN THE INTERNATIONAL PRESS

DISCUSSION GROUP NEWSLETTER (26/2)
A UK newsletter devoted to native woods,
their ecology and management published a report from a CSTS led scientific
excursion. Its editorial says, among other things:
"We don't usually have reports from
abroad in the Native Woodlands Discussion Group Newsletter, but the report
of the field trip to Slovakian primary Forests was so interesting that it
couldn't be left out."

| NEW LEAF
Magazine of the Central Scotland Forest
published an article by Karen Dobbins, Central Scotland Countryside
Trust's Events Officer, called "Trip to Slovakia".
Karen has written, among other things:
"Many areas (in Slovakia) are largely left unspoilt. This is the real
charm of Slovakia an it is encouraging to know that these organisations
(The Centre for Scientific Tourism in Slovakia and the Ipel Union) are
working hard to develop tourism with sensitivity towards the country's
cultural and natural heritage."

Society
Our activities echoes in the UK as
well. In the October 2001 issue of the magazine, Mr. Martin Clark published and
article devoted to "The Role of International Vocational Training and
Technology Transfer in Re-shaping Britain's post Foot&Mouth Land-based
