October 2002 scientific excursion successful
Nine research fellows from the Institute for
Forestry and Game Management in Geraardsbergen completed an excursion focusing
on natural and seminatural forests in the Central Slovakia. Two comments from
the excursion feed-back forms filled out by our excursion members do perhaps
illustrate well the overall impression:
"Well organised scientific excursion gave a
good general overview of the different biotopes, landscape types and forests.
There has been enough time for each site, sufficient space for questions and a
good scientific discussion."
