Vice-governor of the National Bank of Slovakia on a CSTS guided walk through the Badinsky Primeval Forest On October 23rd, 2002, the vice-governor of the National bank of Slovakia, Ms. Elena Kohutikova, accepted the invitation of the Centre for Scientific Tourism in Slovakia and visited CSTS headquarters in Zvolen and the Technical University in Zvolen, where she delivered a lecture on the European Currency Union as a framework for sustainable development in Slovakia (e. g. she addressed issues such as the currency stability in connection to pricing of natural resources). After lunch with CSTS director Dr. Pichler, Dr. Zach, Dr. Bublinec, Dr. Supin (Rector of the TU in Zvolen) and others she completed a guided tour of the Badinsky Primeval Forest. She showed a great appreciation of the local biodeversity and a acknowledged it as one of the most important treasures in terms of both Nature's intrinsic value and the quality of life.
