Way Into The Prestigeous...
(CST Slovakia - News)

CSTS FOUND ITS WAY INTO THE PRESTIGEOUS THE QUARTERLY JOURNAL OF THE ROYAL FORESTRY SOCIETY

Our activities echoes in the UK as well. In the October 2001 issue of the magazine, Mr. Martin Clark published and article devoted to "The Role of International Vocational Training and Technology Transfer in Re-shaping Britain's post Foot&Mouth Land-based Industries". Several paragraphs in the article refer to Slovakia and the Centre for Scientific Tourism in particular:

"...Now, in our current crisis, these European visits have acted as a springboard and two of the forestry folk who went to Slovakia, my good Yorkshire friends, Roger Stott and Hugh Kemp, have returned to Slovakia (with 'Leonardo da Vinci' funding) to look more closely at the native forest management for eco-tourism models established by such young and enhusiastic "shakers and movers" as Viliam Pichler of Zvolen Technical Forestry University (Webmaster's note: Dr. Pichler is the coordinating director of the Centre for Scientific Tourism in Slovakia). Roger and Hugh will now look into how the Slovak ideas can assist in Wensleydale land-use..."

We are happy to contribute to the sustainable development in other countries as well. Actually, this type of scientific and best-practice transfer represents one of our ultimate goals.
